Timothy D. “Tim” Bond, LSME, CMfgE
Project Manager (retired)
Boeing Commercial Aircraft
Marysville, Washington

Tim Bond has worked in manufacturing for the past 46 years. After many experiences in a multitude of environments, he decided to retire from his most recent job and focus on students and consulting over the next five years. Bond’s past volunteer work has involved working with high schools, community colleges and universities with the goal being to engage youth in a career field that would provide both learning and opportunity. Bond partnered with SME since becoming a member in 1981 and has seen the many benefits of being a member, regardless of where one might be on their individual career ladder. STEM is the driving force of the future, and any student would do well to learn more about it. Manufacturing entails many other fields such as customer relations, engineering, supply chain and all the sub-areas within the overarching umbrella such as 3D printing, composites, artificial intelligence and systems integration. SME Since Member 1981
