Neil Ashbaugh

With twenty-three years of manufacturing experience, Neil Ashbaugh's journey spans from the shop floor to HR and technical training management. He honed his skills through two four-year state and federally-recognized apprenticeships, becoming a journeyman precision grinder and machine operator. Initially hired by Oberg Industries, Inc. as a journeyman grinder, Ashbaugh ascended to corporate roles in sales, marketing, and management, focusing on training, talent development, and new product development. Currently, at NCC, Ashbaugh oversees operations and a wide range of programs, including apprenticeship, production, sales, marketing, business development, corporate training, and workforce development. He spearheaded the Group Apprenticeship Program and the New Century Job Shop. Ashbaugh is a recognized subject matter expert in machining training and workforce development, often sought after by media, professional associations, and school districts to promote manufacturing careers. In 2022, he was appointed to the Westmoreland-Fayette County Workforce Investment Board’s Next Generation Manufacturing Industry Partnership.
