Registration is open for the first virtual career fair taking place on February 9, 2023. The career fairs will bring qualified job seekers, including women and men, to connect with companies seeking to fill positions in a broad range of manufacturing disciplines. “SME shares many goals and aspirations with Women in Manufacturing regarding underrepresented groups in manufacturing who seek rewarding, sustaining careers,” said Bob Willig, executive director and CEO of SME. “We look forward to working with WiM on these virtual career fairs and consider them to be an extension of a broader partnership we’ve enjoyed since 2017 across a range of activities that includes events, membership reciprocity, and more.”Employer Registration Job Seeker Registration The virtual career fairs will provide opportunities for manufacturing employers to connect one-on-one with job seekers from across the country in a convenient virtual platform, and for job seekers to connect with companies that support and promote diversity in manufacturing. “Virtual career fairs are an important part of the way WiM supports members in building their careers,” said Allison Grealis, WiM president and founder. “We are looking forward to this partnership with SME, which will allow us to bring even greater opportunities to candidates in search of their next industry roles. Further, we hope these career fair events are a valuable resource for manufacturing companies in their efforts to recruit more women, something the industry agrees is important for its continued growth and success.” Maximize Your Virtual Career Fair Experience Success develops from an investment in preparation.
