Danielle Demirovic joined the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry's Apprenticeship & Training Office in late 2021, spearheading the expansion of the Pre-Apprenticeship Division and training new staff throughout early 2024. With pre-apprenticeship now integral to Act 158: Alternative Pathways to Graduation in Pennsylvania, there's a renewed spotlight on apprenticeship as a viable career path for youth. Danielle's personal journey, marked by non-traditional education and career progression, fuels her passion for apprenticeship. She holds a bachelor’s degree earned as an adult and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). With over 20 years of private sector experience, Danielle brings a unique perspective to her role. Collaborating with sponsors, state agencies, employers, and community organizations, she thrives on connecting stakeholders and brainstorming innovative solutions. The Pre-Apprenticeship Division's mission remains centered on aligning programs with Registered Apprenticeship sponsors, developing new sector occupations, and prioritizing underrepresented populations in career pathways.
