David Dornfeld Manufacturing Vision Award Past Winners To encourage truly visionary concepts of research and education, top presentations at SME's North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC) will receive the NAMRI/SME Dornfeld Manufacturing Vision Award, named in honor of the late David Dornfeld, PhD, FSME, to recognize outstanding vision and leadership within the manufacturing community.

2021 SME College of Fellows Since 1986, the SME College of Fellows has honored those members who have made outstanding contributions to the social, technological and educational aspects of the manufacturing profession. Distinguished Faculty Advisor Award SME’s Distinguished Faculty Advisor Award was established in 2011 to recognize select SME student chapter faculty advisors for their continued oversight and engagement efforts in advocating for students and the manufacturing industry.
Awards SME has selected six Distinguished Faculty Advisors in recognition of their service to SME and their student chapters in advancing manufacturing knowledge, education and helping to fulfill SME's mission of promoting manufacturing technology and developing a skilled workforce.
