Content Development: Primarily at the annual Medical Manufacturing Innovations program at the RAPID conference, the workgroup through review and recruitment develops in-depth sessions to address the latest developments. File Format: With an evolving file format, identifying the needs specific to clinical needs consistent with patient privacy concerns and best practices, the workgroup is identifying needs, existing standards and opportunities to integrate into printer files. Standards & Quality Assurance: From the collection of imaging data to use of parts, devices and models, the workgroup is identifying the current state and identifying gaps as the foundation for further development. Outreach: Students — To share the excitement and possibilities of additive manufacturing with students at every level, this effort will identify opportunities, develop tools and templates, and provide advice to connect with both K-12 and college students. Outreach: Professional (formerly Awareness Project) — With many additive manufacturing/3D printing users (i.e., clinicians) new to manufacturing, the workgroup is gathering existing information into a publishable document that helps navigate the use cases and connects to existing standard and regulatory information.
