The Electric Vehicle Fundamentals (EVF) credential, focused on the fundamentals of electric vehicles, provides a starting point for career pathways in the EV industry.

EVF is centered on assessing a candidate’s comprehension of fundamental EV concepts and may be used by those currently looking for entry-level positions in the areas of automotive assembly and production of electric or further training pathways in EV. The credential can help individuals begin a lifelong career in an industry where there is opportunity for advancement and good-paying jobs.

The EVF credential is ideal for high school and college students, dislocated workers, under-employed individuals, veterans, at-risk youth, and others who are seeking new employment in a fast-growing industry.

Individuals

Individuals may pursue the EVF as part of their own professional development journey.

Individuals must identify a proctor to monitor the individual while taking the exam. A proctor can be a manager, supervisor, HR personnel, or teacher. The Proctor Form should be completed and submitted at least two weeks before taking the exam.
